The Clarecastle Show Society is very pleased to make EIGHT stallion nominations available to Irish horse breeders. The draw will take BEFORE the Banner Brood Mare Championship and the names of the owners of the mares, who have participated in the Banner Brood Mare competition, will be placed in a drum and drawn in above order 1 to 8. The Kylemore Stud voucher for €500 will be drawn last at no. 9.

RULES AND CONDITIONS
Colt Foal Championship
Entries are confined to Top Quality Colt Foals eligible to be registered if not registered in the Irish Horse Register with the breed codes ISH, or ID;
Animals must be Sired by a Stallion that is classified in the Irish Sport Horse Stud Book as either: Approved /Preliminary Approved/Supplementary / Recognised/Preliminary Recognised / Not Approved 1 (NA1) or a that is classified in the Irish Draught Stud Book as either CLASS 1 /2/ RID (GB) / RID (Can) /Grade 2 (GB)
The class is also open to Weatherby’s registered animals, progeny of thoroughbred Stallions that are not classified in the Irish Horse as Not Approved 2 (NA2)
Two foals from selected shows may qualify, provided the judges and the I.S.A. the standard is high enough.
Foals must be led at all times.
Exhibitors to both the qualifier and the final must have the mare’s passport for inspection prior to entry to the judging ring, “if the Foals passport is not to hand”. Failure to comply with this rule will lead to immediate disqualification.
Passports & (Microchips if applicable) should be read by a Vet at the Final
Foals Qualified for Final are not eligible to enter any other class at the show which the final is held.

The draw will take place before we announce the winners of the Banner Brood Mare Championship. The names of the owners of the mare who have participated in the Banner Brood Mare Championship will be place in a drum and drawn in above order.
Please note: no substitution of mares who have won the nomination can take place.
